Welcome to Namibia’s CapitalTouch down in Windhoek, where your Africa at Heart guide meets you at the airport and introduces you to Namibia. Settle into your lodge or guesthouse, then enjoy a gentle orientation of the capital, taking in landmarks such as Christuskirche, the Independence Museum and the Craft Centre. The evening is yours to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Into Etosha National ParkAfter breakfast, travel north from Windhoek towards Etosha National Park. As the landscapes open out, your safari begins in earnest. Enter the park and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, watching for the wildlife that gathers around Etosha’s waterholes.

A Full Day of Etosha WildlifeSpend a full day exploring Etosha National Park with your guide. Twyfelfontein to SpitzkoppeContinue south towards Spitzkoppe, Namibia’s iconic granite mountain range. Spitzkoppe to Skeleton Coast via Cape CrossLeave Spitzkoppe and travel west to the Atlantic coast. Visit Cape Cross Seal Reserve, a separate protected area known for its Cape fur seal colony, before continuing north through the Ugab River entrance into the southern section of Skeleton Coast National Park. Follow approved routes through fog-shaped coastal scenery, with stops determined by current access, weather and permit conditions.

The experience is centred on the immense landscape, ocean fog and isolation of the park; wildlife sightings are a special bonus and cannot be guaranteed. Later, travel south to Swakopmund and settle into your hotel or guesthouse.

Return to your lodge for a relaxed final evening in the desert.
