The evening is yours to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

After breakfast, travel north from Windhoek towards Etosha National Park. As the landscapes open out, your safari begins in earnest. Enter the park and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, watching for the wildlife that gathers around Etosha’s waterholes.

Spend a full day exploring Etosha National Park with your guide. The park’s wide salt pan, grasslands and waterholes make it one of Southern Africa’s great wildlife-viewing areas. Keep watch for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and the many antelope species that make this remarkable ecosystem their home.

Leave Etosha behind and journey west towards Twyfelfontein, a dramatic Damaraland landscape of rugged mountains and ancient desert scenery. Along the way, visit the Petrified Forest and arrive in time to settle into your lodge or guesthouse near Twyfelfontein.

Today is devoted to one of Namibia’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters: tracking desert-adapted elephants. These resilient animals have evolved to travel across Damaraland’s dry riverbeds and open desert terrain. Your guided excursion follows their movements respectfully, offering a memorable insight into their remarkable adaptation.

Continue south towards Spitzkoppe, Namibia’s iconic granite mountain range. Its sculpted rock formations rise sharply from the desert plain, creating an unforgettable setting for an afternoon guided walk. As the light softens, enjoy the stillness and immense scale of this distinctive landscape.

Leave Spitzkoppe and travel west to the Atlantic coast. Visit Cape Cross Seal Reserve, a separate protected area known for its Cape fur seal colony, before continuing north through the Ugab River entrance into the southern section of Skeleton Coast National Park. Follow approved routes through fog-shaped coastal scenery, with stops determined by current access, weather and permit conditions.

Begin with further guided exploration of the southern Skeleton Coast, looking for accessible shipwreck remains, seabirds and the subtle signs of desert-adapted wildlife. The experience is centred on the immense landscape, ocean fog and isolation of the park; wildlife sightings are a special bonus and cannot be guaranteed. Later, travel south to Swakopmund and settle into your hotel or guesthouse.

Today offers a choice between two signature coastal experiences. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy Swakopmund at your own pace.

Leave the coast and travel south through the Namib’s extraordinary open landscapes towards the Sesriem and Sossusvlei area. The journey reveals changing gravel plains, distant mountains and broad desert horizons. Arrive at your desert lodge with time to settle in and enjoy the evening light.

Make an early start for Sossusvlei, when the dunes glow in the first light of day. Explore the dramatic landscapes of Deadvlei and the surrounding dune fields with your guide, then visit Sesriem Canyon if conditions and timing allow. Return to your lodge for a relaxed final evening in the desert.

After breakfast, travel back to Windhoek through Namibia’s wide-open central landscapes. If your international flight departs early, an additional night in Windhoek may be recommended.
