How does the Safari Jewel itinerary begin?

Days 1–2: Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River

You are met at Victoria Falls International Airport before beginning with a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Starting here gives the journey an immediate sense of scale, but the second day slows the pace.

You have time to choose from the optional activities available around Victoria Falls. Later, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River offers a gentler view of the landscape, with wildlife viewing from the water and the changing evening light over the river.

What can you expect in Chobe National Park?

Days 3–4: game drives in Botswana

After breakfast, the safari crosses by road into Botswana and continues to Chobe National Park. An afternoon game drive introduces you to the park’s wildlife, including its large elephant herds and plains game.

The next day includes morning and afternoon game drives. Exploring at two different times gives you changing light, temperatures and animal movement, while the adapted vehicle allows your guide to cover a wider area than would be possible on foot.

Why is the Okavango Delta the final chapter?

Days 5–7: waterways, islands and a mokoro safari

On day five, you transfer to the Okavango Delta, a wilderness of waterways, islands, wildlife and birdlife. The move changes the feeling of the safari completely.

The signature experience is a full mokoro dugout canoe safari. Gliding quietly through channels and lagoons gives you a calm, water-level view of the Delta that is entirely different from watching wildlife from a 4×4.

A further game drive on day seven broadens the experience again. By combining river cruise, game drive and mokoro, Safari Jewel allows you to see the region from the water and the land, at both a quiet pace and across a wider area.

Day 8: the onward connection

After breakfast, you transfer to the local airstrip for a small charter flight to a regional airport, where you can connect with onward flights to Johannesburg O. R. Tambo International Airport and your outbound international journey.
