Game drives are the ultimate safari experience! We offer game drives in Kruger National Park, Hwange National Park, Chobe National Park, and Okavango Delta. Each national park has its own unique game drive experience, giving travelers the opportunity to see an extensive range of wildlife in various terrain.

The customizable nature of our trip packages gives our guests the opportunity to decide how many game drives they’d like to attend and which national parks they’d like to see.

What is a game drive?

A game drive is a guided safari experience through a wildlife reserve or national park, designed to give guests the best possible opportunity to observe animals in their natural habitat. Travelling in specially adapted off-road vehicles, guests explore a range of landscapes while enjoying comfort features such as blankets, refreshments, and space for photography.

What to Expect On Your Game Drive Safari

Game drives utilize special off-roading vehicles that typically accommodate up to 10 passengers per vehicle. Our safari vehicles are designed for all-day comfort and adventure– they’re always packed with blankets, raincoats, and snacks for the most enjoyable experience. Guests can plan an all-day game drive where our chefs prepare a delicious packed lunch or you can come back for a lunch break to relax at your beautiful lodge. Game drives are typically planned for early morning and late afternoon adventures when the animals are most active and the weather isn’t as hot. During your game drive, you’ll be accompanied by your professional nature guide. Your nature guide will plan the day’s game drive based on your personal requests.

Additional information

    • Night Drives: Night drives are available at certain national parks, giving guests the opportunity to see nocturnal wildlife that may not be seen during the day.
    • Sunset Drives: We always recommend at least one afternoon game drive for all our guests in order to experience the stunning African sunset. What better way to fall in love with Africa than having a cold beer or drink while watching the wildlife roam in front of the sunset.
    • Educational Presentations: Speak with national park rangers and anti-poaching agents to learn more about wildlife conservation and the current obstacles our national parks face

    • Accommodated Game Drive: We’ve partnered with all the leading accommodations throughout Southern Africa in order to provide the most comfortable stay. An accommodated game drive provides guests with the option to stay in a private lodge either located inside of the national park or nearby. Enjoy glamping at its best with comfortable beds and Western-style bathrooms all within the luxury of your tent.
    • Tented Game Drive: For the more adventurous travelers, tented lodge accommodations are available either inside the national park or on private land nearby. Only available within certain national parks, experience traditional camping throughout designated areas. Your nature guide is happy to help with finding the best spots for exclusive wildlife sightings!

  • We understand that photography is an essential component of any game drive– our guides are highly experienced in helping our guests get that once in a lifetime picture. During your game drive, your nature guide will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the wildlife, botany, or terrain that you encounter.
