Meet Wallace…
Our founder and head nature guide, Wallace Gwatidzo, was born and raised in a Zimbabwean village. His childhood experiences with herding his family’s cattle blossomed into a passion for wildlife that drove his desire to learn more about the incredible organisms that inhabited his home. After completing university for wildlife and tourism here in Zimbabwe, Wallace pursued his passion as a professional nature guide in his home country as well as throughout the Southern Africa region.
Wallace now has over 20 years of experience working with internationally-renowned tour companies from around the globe. He also spent five years as a logistical planning manager, gaining the experience needed to structure custom tours and create convenient travel itineraries for all his guests. His continued passion for wildlife and the complex ecosystem exclusive to Southern Africa inspired him to create his own travel and tour company in order to educate and share these treasures with travelers from around the world. When Wallace isn’t out on a safari drive or hosting guests at a local village, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and reading about nature, wildlife, and the history of the world.
